Hadi Salehi, PhD. Using E-Learning and ICT Courses in
Educational Environment: A Review; Lukáš Beran
INTRODUCTION
Hadi Salehi is an assistant professor in the Faculty
of Literature and Humanities, Najafabad Branch, Islamic Azad University, Iran
where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He received his Bachelor
in English Literature from Isfahan University, Iran, his Master degree in TEFL
from Allame Tabatabaei University/Tehran Payamenur University, Iran and his PhD
in TESL from National University of Malaysia (UKM). His main research interests
include Language Learning Strategies, Material Development, and Language Assessment,
ICT, E-Learning and Washback of High-stakes Tests.
His study analyses the role of E-learning and ICT
courses in educational environment. I
have chosen this topic because I think that this topic is very discussed at
this time.
BODY
The author complains in his article that computers
have become an absolutely necessary for our living. ICT Education and similar
technologies are important for individuals to be in touch with the present computer
education era. With the much information all over the web, and the various ways
to communicate with each other through the internet, it facilitates these
individuals to interact with one another via internet. He gives an example by Palloff
and Pratt where they claimed that new delivery media and technology
breakthroughs might affect nowadays teaching and learning environment (Palloff
& Pratt, 2003). He thinks that if ICT courses will be available by online
E-learning, then every learner should adapt and be satisfied with developing
technologies. Those improvements are helpful to create courses that are easier
and more effective for students, especially if ICT and E-learning are
integrated into the educational process. E-learning is really useful for sharing
of information and communication between teachers and students. (Boettcher and
Conrad, 2004) He also cooperates with other researchers and scholars.
In the conclusion he claims that different ways of
computer technologies had different effects on student learning. These facts
can be used for universities to improve the different levels of the process of
information.
CONCLUSION
Salehi’s article was a little bit confusing for me but
I have to agree with him in some ways. E-learning is really important for our
education because as I mentioned before that students will adapt and be
comfortable with the continuous upcoming technologies and innovations and it
also provides some kind of feedback for students and improves their IT skills. These
skills can develop performance in different fields of study, as well (Dewey,
1966).

Proč "the author COMPLAINS"?
